(More customer reviews)I ordered this set as a gift for my little sister (age 9), who loves High School Musical. When I received it, the "Try Me" button to make the dolls sing did not work. Also, it appeared as though the dolls were connected by non-removable wires so that they could sing in unison (making them not very fun to play with).
However, after opening the box as carefully as possible (so that I could still give it as a gift)to make sure the dolls actually worked, I determined that while the "Try me" button did not work, once the pull tabs were removed the dolls sang just fine. Also, the wires that are inserted in the dolls backs can be removed so that they may be played with separately. Each has a button to press for singing.
The dolls do not sing the whole song (although most of these dolls do not). Also, the manufacturing details state that they are dressed exactly as in the movie, which they are not. Finally, the clothing the dolls are wearing looks pretty cheap.
Still, I give the set 4 stars because my sister (and most HSM3 fans) will love them and, even with all the hassle, you're getting a pretty good buy for your money.
