It was mailed in a secured bubble wrap envelope, and wrapped in additional packaging. I opened it thinking the dress wouldn't be of good quality, I just wanted her to have a pretty barbie dress without paying a high price for the doll as well. It is beautifully constructed, it doesn't have that "cheap" look at all. It looks like someone took care into making this product. It slips onto a barbie doll rather easily and the fasteners are easy close/open. I highly recommend this product for a pretty dress for Christmas or anytime for your barbies.
