I balked at the high price tag of the American Girl dolls and came to realize that what she really liked was changing the outfits on her doll and having another same-sized doll as a companion for Rebecca. So, I did some research and after reading the reviews, I decided to purchase a Madame Alexander 18" After School Cool - Favorite Friends Collection doll in place of an American Girl doll (it is much more affordable and quite well-made), and several sets of outfits so she could have fun dressing them.
These clothes are so well-made! The details are amazing, and this set came with an outer leopard-print coat (with snap-on buttons), a matching leopard-print cap, a plain white top, a pair of black tights, and a pair of brown felt boots. More importantly they fit both dolls perfectly. The shoes were snug but they stayed in place which is an important factor for little girls who tend to misplace accessories and such. The leopard-print coat has a luxurious, soft feel to it and is very chic. I recommend this manufacturer and only wish the company made more clothes for 18" dolls!
