(More customer reviews)I've been a frequent Amazon.com buyer since the 90's and this is the first time that I've been compelled to write a negative review about a product I purchased.
I bought this for my daughter as a Christmas present. Although she loves the dress and bows, the shoes are absolutely defective and dangerous. On Christmas day, one of the bows came off. Annoying, but not a huge problem. Some superglue did the trick. Just this week (less than two weeks after receiving the gift) one of the shoes developed a huge crack at the midway point of the arch, reaching almost completely across the shoe. So we glued that back together. Today the other shoe literally snapped in half, leaving a huge sharp plastic shard that could have easily punctured her foot. She is 3 years old and under 35lbs, so if she broke both shoes just from walking around, I would imagine ANY child ages 3-10 would break the shoes.
I am very disappointed with this product and purchase. The only thing keeping me from sending it back is that the replacement shoes would be every bit as feeble and dangerous.
I now need to find higher quality replacement ruby slippers for my daughter, who is distraught about her broken shoes.
