It was made for Carpatina which are beautiful dolls, but have an all vinyl, slimmer body. However if you go the the Carpatina website, you will find they have a new section called "friends" where they have made many of their beautiful clothes larger so they will fit American Girl dolls. They have many period dresses, some modern, and some dynasty outfits. It took me a while to figure it out, so thought I would explain. By getting the wider, larger outfits, they can fit the American girl and are a bit roomy, but work, on the slimmer dolls. My granddaughter doesn't notice. So which ever size doll you choose, these clothes are beautiful.
