(More customer reviews)Wow...I got these before the movie came out, and once I saw it, it made the figures so much more meaningful. This is the pack that comes with Lurtz, the Uruk-Hai created by Saruman the Wizard, and Boromir, man of Gondor and member of the Fellowship of the Ring.
The figure that impresses me the most is Lurtz. If you have seen the movie, Lurtz kinda sticks out in your mind as holding a bow and arrow (I won't give any spoilers for those who have seen the movie). This figure features the most realistic arrow-shooting action I have seen on an action figure to date; it comes with four arrows. In Lurtz's left arm is a bow, and when you load an arrow through it, put the string in a little groove, and fit the end into his hand, there is a button on the back that causes his right arm to move out, releasing the arrow, which I have gotten to go about two feet max from the figure. It is amazing. And the detail is astonishing, right down to the minute stitches on the quiver. The only thing that disappointed me was that sometimes the right arm would pop off, but it popped right back on very easily; I am a hardcore player with my toys, so that might have had something to do with it.
Boromir, I am sorry to say, isn't quite as good as Lurtz. First of all, the packaging was wrapped around his sword, so it was totally bent out of shape when I got it, and to date I haven't been unable to straighten it. Because of this, it won't fit into the scabbard. This could only have happened to me (wouldn't that just figure), but who knows. Well, anyway, he comes with a sword, shield, cape, and horn. A button on his back causes one arm to raise up, one arm to go down, and his head to turn to the side. Another complaint is that the sword wouldn't fit readily into either hand. It fell out of his left and wouldn't go except with extreme forcing into the right. The shield could go either way because it clips into the hand. The horn hangs around his neck. Once again, the detail is incredible.
