(More customer reviews)I received a note from my son's preschool to dress him up like a pilgrim for his class's Thanksgiving feast. Since I don't sew (and I am not creative costume-wise), I decided to search on amazon. The costume is adorable. It did come with a hat, which I wasn't sure when I ordered. The hat is a little floppy, but very cute on him. (It's not exactly the same hat that is pictured -- doesn't sit as high). It could be reinforced with cardboard around the brim if you're feeling inspired (I wasn't). The 4-6X was perfect for my average size 4 year old (who is probably on the solid side) and I bought a pair of girls white knee socks and black dress shoes at Target to complete the outfit. The belt was way too long, so I cut it with a pair of scissors and taped the end down with masking tape. Note: the materials aren't super solid, but I paid 20-some dollars, so I didn't expect them to be!! I had him wear lightweight sweats that pushed up and a dark longsleeved tee underneath. Very cute and more expensive looking than it was. Loved it!
