Baby Boy Infant Pirate Halloween Costume (6-12 Months) Review

The costume was adorable and even though it was a bit big it still worked. (my fault for ordering a 6-12 month costume for a 4.5 monther. The only thing is the material isn't very strong as by the end of the night there was already a thread bunch pucker but it isn't to noticeable.

Pirates Of The Carribean 3: 12" Will Turner Review

When you consider the price, this isn't a bad figure at all for your little PotC fans to play with. But for collectors the flaws pointed out in the other reviews are accurate. The paint job is sloppy at best and Will looks a little cross-eyed. The clothes are good, again, for the price, however they are not truly accurate representations of Will's costume.
But if you're like me and customize these figures by repainting and rerooting hair (or in Will's case cutting down his ridiculously over-sized hair)and altering the outfits to be as accurate as possible, Zizzle's 12" PotC line is an excellent base to start from, with impressive face molds. I have Will, Elizabeth, and Jack in the At World's End line and they are all outstanding. It's simply a matter of getting past the horrendous paint job. Of all the 1/6 scale figures I've looked into buying, I've been more impressed with Zizzle's molds than any other brand's, even the expensive ones.
Regarding the body, the original is atrocious. And the hands and feet are absurdly over-sized. If you're customizing the figure, the body easily comes apart as it's held together with screws and the head and the very detailed hands also easily remove from the original body with a little heat. The head and hands can then be added to another 1/6 scale articulated body without much trouble.
As a play toy this a good figure to get. As a collector's item, you get what you pay for. For the customizer, this is a fantastic start to a really great looking Will Turner/Orlando Bloom-based character.

12" Jack Sparrow Pirate Figure Review

I admit it. I bought this guy on sale. Then I took off all his clothes, tore off his head, repainted the head and hat, then customized it to fit onto a BBI (that's a brand name) body.
Why?
The Zizzle bodies suck. They don't pose well at all. They should come with a stand, because the ankles in the part-of-the-leg-itself boots aren't always sturdy enough to hold up that big honkin' body.
The outfit is awesome. For that price point, it's worth the cost just to get the clothing, accesories, head, and hat.
If you don't care about posing him and how accurate his face paint is...just set him up and roll. If you like having a version of him that's pretty cool (for a geek like me), take him apart and make him better. If you get him on sale- it's worth it.
