Plus PLEASE NOTE....this vendor has a 2 DAY RETURN POLICY. You have to call them within 2 days of receiving the order to be able to return the item. To compound the issue it is difficult to get an email response from them and they may also charge a 25% restocking fee. They are NOT accomadating when it comes to returns. BEWARE!!!!!

I sent an email and called right away, and never heard back from the company. Because it was so close to Halloween and I didn't have time to exchange it we used the shell and had to buy something else to wear with it. I still have never heard from the company and won't buy from them again.

(More customer reviews)The hippo costume was very cute on my little boy; however, the head was way too big for him and would not stay on. Sizing appears to run a little big. The costume was padded on the inside but the outer material was not nearly as soft as I anticipated it would be. Also, one of the seams came undone after I washed it for the first time. Overally, though, it's a very cute costume.

The sound button didn't work and it is placed in a very odd spot - right at his belly button. It looked like he had something sticking out of his belly. He stll looked really cute in it for trick-or-treating so it wasn't a total flop.

(More customer reviews)My daughter looked really cute in this costume. It was easy to put on and off, and I think if I had to she would fit in her car seat with the outfit on.
My daughter was a little too interested in the antennas that fell into her sight line. She would tug on them and one time she tugged so hard she fell forward! It was a little funny and at the same time I was a little worried she hurt her self, but she was okay. But in the end she tugged on them so much that she broke one of the antennas and it just flopped around on Halloween day.
This was a good one season use. I don't think I will save it and use it for my next child.

(More customer reviews)Bought this for my daughter. She was 7 months at Halloween and this costume was enormous on her. Mind you she is a little small for her age but this costume didn't even come close to being a good fit. The sizing on this should be 9-12 months not 1 to 9 months. You could probably even get away with 6-9 months on the sizing but I have a feeling it would still be pretty large on an average size 6 month old.
Also, the antenna were really droopy and we had to hold out the wings to even show that she was a butterfly. She looked cute but she looked more like a pink lobster than a butterfly. :)

(More customer reviews)This costume is cute and my daughter looked adorable but there were two problems - the first is that the costume is like a big lint roller, EVERYTHING stuck to it and our dog has white hair so this did not look very nice. I tried to use a lint roller to clean it off and it wouldn't work, because the hair just kept sticking to it so I actually had to pull of all the hair piece by piece before we went out.
Other problem is when I washed it, it got all these fuzzy things all over it and the material almost seemed to change after being washed... I washed ir once and it looks like it has been worn and washed a million times, I hate stuff that does that. good thing we only needed it for one night.
The costume is cute, but I wouldn't buy another from the same company. I think next year I'll go to the Disney store I've heard good things about there and Target having cute costumes.

(More customer reviews)Very cute costume. The description did not give much info on what the sizes were, other than 25-40lbs for the infant size. My son just turned 2 and weighs about 30lbs, so I went ahead and bought the infant size, even though he would be considered a toddler. The costume fit him almost perfectly, just a bit too short so that the neck of the costume was not as high on him as it probably should be. The packaging on the infant size said 6-12 months. I believe this would be WAY to big for a 6 month old. The "head" of the costume is a separate piece from the body of the costume, and my son refused to wear it. (He still looked very cute, I think!) Based on the picture, I thought the hands of the costume were mittens; they are not. The hands are attached to the outside of the sleeves, and attach to the child's wrists via elastic bands. My son didn't like the elastic, either. The costume is polyester, so it can get warm. There are two snaps in the back, and snaps up the inside of the legs to make diaper changes easier. All in all, I think this was a very cute costume, and I am glad I got it for my son.
