(More customer reviews)I received my costume a couple of days before Halloween. The bag it was in indicated that it was size 2-4, but the actual product was size 24 months. I sent an email and called right away, and never heard back from the company. Because it was so close to Halloween and I didn't have time to exchange it we used the shell and had to buy something else to wear with it. I still have never heard from the company and won't buy from them again.

(More customer reviews)The hippo costume was very cute on my little boy; however, the head was way too big for him and would not stay on. Sizing appears to run a little big. The costume was padded on the inside but the outer material was not nearly as soft as I anticipated it would be. Also, one of the seams came undone after I washed it for the first time. Overally, though, it's a very cute costume.

(More customer reviews)It did the job it was supposed to, Halloween costume for trick or treating. Buttons were very cheap and would open on their own. I would think for $30 they could have some better buttons or snaps on it. You have to read the reviews to get the right size to fit your child because some of these run really small and some big.
I was able to let my kids use them as play suits and got more use out of them after Halloween.
If you live in a warmer place when Halloween happens this would do fine, or if they are out of costumes at the store and you don't have time to make one I would say buy this suit. If you have time try to find another costume or make one yourself.

When I read it was for ages 3mos-12mos, I thought that window sounded too good to be true, and in fact a more accurate description would have been 6mos-12mos. My 4-month old son found it to be quite a bit too big, even with a warm outfit underneath. We also dispensed with the face mask, but the cap seemed to work OK.

The material is not the nicest but is warm and fuzzy still. I put on a white tee onsie underneath and he was perfectly warm inside the house. There are 3 buttons on the back of neck and buttons on inseam for diaper changes. Easy in/out. The acpe is adorable and snaps onto shoulders. I didnt think I would be able to even get the mask on my baby, but he actually seemed to like it and wore it for a while. Must be colsely supervised though, b/c then he pulled it down around his neck to yank on it. The mask is probably best just used to take pictures, and then taken away. Good price, great amazon prime shipping!

(More customer reviews)The costume arrived with the velcro (on the back) fell off. Even with the velcro on, there is a big opening. Shouldn't they make a zipper to seal the opening? The whole costume is made of cheap materials. We handwashed the product with cold water as instructed and noticed the black color turns to grey. Well, not all the black patches turned to grey. The hat piece was ok. Stay away from them if you can.
