Their durability is out of this world -- and they include a partitioned wooden case to keep track of all the little pieces when playtime is through. The ballerina is no exception.
I find that some of the skirt shapes (particularly those which show part of the doll's legs as part of the clothing piece) are too chunkily executed for my taste, and some of the garments (especially the vests!) are tacky beyond all reckoning, but I've yet to meet a little girl who complained about either. That's just my grownup sensibilities talking.
If you're buying for a little ballerina-lover, this is the toy for you. If not, look around a little bit at Melissa and Doug's many other wooden "paper" dolls. You might find something even better.
